Blue birds fighting over mate

I had never seen this before yesterday. Two male blue birds were on the ground entwined in a fierce wrestling match. The top bird rolled the bottom bird several times, and then the match turned a little more equal. The whole time the female was sitting on the ground only a foot away from the males, cheering them on. None of the three birds paid me any attention, though I walked up and stood about 20 feet away in a totally open area and watched the match for at least five minutes. Wish I had my camera that outing.

Oh, they were just playing... not, vying for her attention to mate?

Mother nature is simply wonderful to watch.
