avocado and Fig Trees

Can I grow a Haas avocado and Texas fig tree in containers? The avocado tree is not a dwarf. I am at 2800 feet. It gets down to 30 in winter and up to 100 in summer. They were a present and I am going to try and keep them alive if I can. Thanks.

:?: I'm confused. This is the third posting of this exact message about the fig and avocado in containers.

If previous advice has proven unuseable, please let us know so that we can perhaps find the source of the problem.

Confused

I guess I am confused. I thought I had to post my question in the different subject headings. I thought I would reach more resources.
I am going to purchase larger containers tomorrow and repot. I think the fig will make it here, but the avocado is in question. thanks Cynthia for you help.
