Butterfly Bush As A Hedge?

I live in zone 7, Arkansas... I am looking for something to use as a hedge in my front yard that is pretty close to the road. I ran across something in a garden catalog that was talking about using Butterfly Bush as a hedge in southern states, but it did not tell which states this would work in... Was wondering if anyone knew if this would work in my area? Will the bush die back in the fall and winter or will it stay up???

In NC I haven't had much luck with butterfly bushes living past five years so I suggest you look into something that is hardier for your zone and your sun/shade conditions, visit a garden center, not a big box to get some ideas. Might want to try a perennial bed unless you need a screen.
