pruning

when is the best time to prune my buddleia and which is the best way to do it I live in northeast england any help would be much appreciated

Best time is in the fall or early spring, flowers on new growth. Too late now. Remove the old growth first, then it will send up new suckers.

hiya another english here :D , yep the best time to cut your buddleia is about april after the worry of frosts and cut it back really hard, it loves it! How old is it because if it's young take it back to about two buds of the new growth if older take it down to about three foot . People don't realise how hard you can cut them back and how well they do respond :D
