Possible to Root Cuttins Arborvitae Over the Winter?

Hello,
I have a question concerning rooting arborvitae cuttings. I want to root cuttings over the winter in my home so that I can pot then in the spring. My question is this possible and how exactly would I do this? Do I need a grow light and a heating mat to keep the roots warm? I am brand new and never tried anything like this before so please forgive me if this is a foolish question.
Thank you for any help.
Tom
