Rookie question on fiddle leaf fig cutting
Hi!!! I just got a fiddle leaf fig. It was growing pretty great until it was knocked over and snapped. I transferred the cut portion to some water but I have about 6 leaves on left on the base that's still rooted and healthy. Do I need to do anything to this or just leave it as is. Thanks all!!

How long is the piece of fig branch?
Do not root in water. Water roots are different than soil roots.
Snip off the leaves. You do not need leaves to produce roots. Leaves will draw nutrients and slow root production.
You need a 6" - 8" cutting. Make a slanted cut at the bottom of the branch just below - not into - a leaf node.
Plant in a 1 gallon pot with good drainage (nursery pots are great for starting cuttings). Use all purpose potting soil WITHOUT fertilizer. Keep the soil evenly moist - not wet. It will take a couple of months to get a good, healthy root system.
If your broken branch is long - 12" + - you can make more than one plant. Use separate pots.
