Philodendron

Heya all :)
I have a question regarding my Philodendron. It was huge and I had to cut out of spacial reasons. I took the top part of it (stem and 5 big leaves) and put it directly into a new pot. The leaves already appear like they are hanging a little bit more than before (5 days ago). Will it survive or do I need to put it into a water container first?

It may survive. The leaves are very stressed right now, because the cutting has no roots, so they aren't getting water. I have best results with cuttings if I put a humidity dome over them (like a 2 liter bottle with the bottom cut off). Otherwise mist the leaves several times a day. Keep the potting mix the stem is in damp but not soggy.
