Hi all! I have a Rose of Sharon tree that is looking so sickly. Can anyone help identify what is wrong with it by looking at the leaves? I am leaning towards a disease of some sort and haven't seen any insects on it.
Please help! I have two side by side and they both are exhibiting the spots on the leaves and dying of leaves.

Yes, it looks like probably some fungal disease, perhaps cercospora leaf spot.
Remove and trash the affected leaves and spray the rest with diluted milk or other organic fungicide.
Rose of Sharon is an extremely hardy plant and it was going to lose those leaves in the fall anyway. So it is likely to survive just fine and the new leaves that appear in the spring should be healthy if you proceed as above.
