Japanese Maple

image.jpeg
I have a Japanese Napke that is losing its bark. I noticed a couple of dead branches on the same side as the peering bark. It there a treatment or does the tree need to be removed

Japanese Maple are quite tough trees and it pretty easy to look after them. Often it's not from disease but other issues that are pretty easy to corrected. Tell me if you do any of these.

1. Are they planted in rich soil that drain well? They simply don't like wet feet.

2. Are you spraying it with water during sunny weather? It's better to water to roots then top.

3. Are you using any fertilizers? They don't like to over eat!
