Caragana, (Pea Shrub) hedge question
Hello! I have a hedge of caragana that I planted about 2 years ago from seedlings that I bought from Nebraska's Natural Resource department. They're spaced fairly close together and have reached to be about 6-7 ft tall as of now. Unfortunately they seem to be a bit spindly? I only trimmed them back once about 3-4 inches. They seem to be very healthy but they are toppling over a bit. My goal is to keep them as tall as possible for privacy but I want them to fill in together for a solid long term hedge. Should I trim them down again a bit or let them be as they are? Thanks!
