Sensitive plant dying??

I have grown this sensitive plant from seed, and lately seberal leaves have turned yellow and fallen off. The stem is turning brown, as are a few of the roots (but Aren't mushy) could this be root rot? I spray it was a spray bottle almost everyday, but tried so hard not to over water it. Is there anything I can do?
