Eastern Redbud

I live in Central Texas and have an Eastern Redbud tree. It is 5 years old and it has barely grown for lasr 2 years. It is about 2 feet tall. Is that right?

No, not right. I planted one which was one of the tiny whips you get from Arbor Day foundation (looks like a little stick 12-15" tall and very skinny when you get it). Five years later it was at least 8' tall and looked like a tree. It is one of those things that likes my alkaline soil.

So yes, we would want to know more about the conditions you have your tree in to try to understand why it is so stunted. It is also native where you are, so should be able to handle your climate.
