Advice needed - withering Redbud tree

Hello everyone-

This spring we planted a Hearts of Gold Redbud. We planted it as directed and watering has been consistent. For the first 2-3 months it did well, even during a 100+ heat wave.

However, in just the past few weeks (seemingly overnight), it has started wilting. We're not sure what's going on, as the watering has been sufficient and it's been relatively mild temperature-wise (mid 80s).

Any advice on this? I can include pictures if necessary.
