Yucca Plant - pup, repotting, and trimming?

Hi there,

I have a large yucca plant in my office that has also sprouted a pup.
Sadly, I have to change offices and the ceiling is significantly lower.

I was wondering if it is possible for me to cut the yucca without killing it or its pup. Is this possible?
If so, any advice how to do so or any resources would be greatly appreciated.
