Newly planted Birch tree turning yellow

It's been 4 weeks and it was doing great until last week when the leaves turned yellow. I've been watering it weekly with a heavy soak into the roots about 2 feet away from the trunk. :?:

Hi Me,

It's been quite a while since you posted this and I'm wondering if your tree is doing any better. You might want to look at these sites to see that your tree isn't planted too deep, is properly mulched and how to water.

Hope that helps,
