how to revive heather shrub

I let my new heather shrub dry out (still potted) and was wondering if anyone knows how I might revive it. The flowers are completely dry and the evergreen is completely dry, gone brown. Is it possible to revive? If so should I trim the parts of the plant that is the driest? Any advice would help. Thank you.

Hi Daisy :D

It sounds like it might be too far gone but its always worth a try. Cut it back by about half so you are not right down into the old wood but nearly. Then give it a reasonable amount of water pref rain water. Not too much as it will just rot any remaining live roots and wait about two weeks for signs of green growth...good luck!
