Hello all. I have 3 of these bushes at my house. Every single one of them has really bad problems with what I'm assuming is powdery mildew. So first I would like to know what I can do about it...I've pruned it back several times and they all grow very well...the leaves just get really unhealthy and it looks bad.
Also, if anyone knows what these are I'm curious.

I'm not sure what your shrub is. Does it flower?

Powdery mildew is not always a big problem on well established shrubs. I have a big old lilac bush that gets it by the end of the season every year. It is mainly a cosmetic issue, the shrub itself isn't harmed and comes back fine the next year.

If your shrub is small enough that spraying it is manageable, you can try spraying with a diluted milk solution OR a baking soda solution (NOT both, although you can alternate, since it will have to be repeated at least X2/ month or after it rains).

Thanks for the help. The shrub does not flower, but it gets those little things that look like berries. I don't really know how to describe them.
