Is my Jasmine dead, or can I revive it? [photos included]

Hello, gardeners. I live in south-west Missouri.

I am concerned for my Jasmine. It used to grow and bloom beautifully (in spite of my lack of proper pruning), but this year, it never changed from its winter state. It is now a mass of dry, tangled branches, with nary a tender bud in sight.

Here are some photos of the unfortunate plant.

Any help would be so very much appreciated!

Are you certain this is Jasmine? It looks more like wisteria to me..at first glance I thought it even resembled honeysuckle. Quite possibly its just not ready to begin new growth just yet. Go ahead and clip it in several areas to see if it is alive.

It is looking pretty dead. But as scratch said, clip in to some of the larger branches near the base and see if they are green inside. If not = dead.

Was it out all winter? Do you not get some freezing there in SW Missouri? Jasmine is not frost tolerant.

I apologize! I got the jasmine mixed up with another plant! I'm not sure what it was, but it certainly is dead, and the jasmine is fine. (Can you tell how big of a gardening noob I am? Haha)

Thank-you so much for replying!
