Emerald Greens

I live in northwest NJ and the soil is clay and acidic. My neighbors are elevated above us and can look right down on us in our backyard and this really gets me annoyed! I want to plant a privacy screen of emerald greens, which I found at Lowes that are about 7' tall. My concern is that the area I want to plant them in gets very soggy after heavy rains and snow to the point where you can't walk there b/c you'll sink. Grass will barely grow in the area and while digging the holes for the trees yesterday I found several grubs. If I plant the trees correctly will they survive? Should I use a lot of peat, humus, lime, greensand, etc? Or is it wise to just pick a different kind of tree altogether?

Thanks,
Anna
