Moving WEEPING WILLOW

MY AUNT HAS A WW TREE WHICH SHE WANTS TO GIVE AWAY. iT IS AROUND 6FT HUIGH AND 4FT WIDE. I WOULD LIKE TO PLANT IT I MY GARDEN. IS IT POSSIBLE TO DO THIS AND HOW DO YOU DO IT?

The willow family are a bunch of weeds when it comes to transplanting; the old medieval trick for rooting plants was to water them with "willow water"; water that had had willow twigs soaking in it for a few weeks. Because they are such natural and prolific rooters, I wouldn't overthink this one; dig it up and move it soon. Leaving it until the really hot weather would be one big mistake you could make; the other would be planting it too close to wells, septic, or water pipes. Willows like copious amounts of water and will break into man-made structures to get it, so think carefully before you place it to avoid trouble ten years down the road...

WHOOPS I JUST POSTED SOMETHING ASKING ABOUT THE WEEPINGS....REGARDING ROOTS GOIN ABROAD FOR WATER SOURCE...WELL I JUST GOT UR ANSWER ON THIS POSTING;)
