Bush ID

I just bought a house and I've been busy IDing all the plants as they start to bud and/or bloom. There are two bushes outside of my knowledge base, can someone ID them? I'm trying to decide if I want to cut them down or take the time to move them, they are in a bad spot, and look pretty sorry at this time of year. Right now both are about 5-6 feet tall, right next to each other. Stems/branches look similar but the leaf shapes are different.

Thanks

Hi :D

The first one is Ribes (flowering currant) and the second one is Symphoricarpos (snowberry)

Personally I wouldn't bother saving either. The snowberry has escaped from gardens in England and is destroying native hedge plants and the currant is pretty boring.

Thank you so much.
After reading up on those plants, I'm leaning towards cutting them down They don't seem worth the effort to transplant. Some Hydrangeas will probably look really nice in the spot I had picked out..

When you say cutting them down I do hope you mean digging them up!
especially the snowberry. Any pieces left in the ground will start to sprout and you will end up with a lot more than one!

Why thankyou very much! :D You are a mine of information yourself Hortoholic. Plant IDing is quite easy fo me as I managed a nursery for many many years so got to look at an awful lot of them an awful lot of the time!
Actually you got the Stargazer I just knew it was a lily.
