I found this tree in the following link: https://cuckoo4design.blogspot.com/2012/ ... -cats.html
I am a pretty new homeowner with a brand new house on a 1/3 acre. The builder torn down all the trees to build the neighborhood. I'm thinking about planting this tree in my backyard. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It is perhaps a redbud tree, but I'm not sure.

You could always correspond with the blog owner and ask him/her what the tree is.

Hmmm from my opinion it can be lilac
Syringa vulgaris

...I can't be 100% sure... (I'm 70%) ...I need more details...
...if it is possible...

It looks like a lilac to me also. You have to do a lot of pruning it to keep it looking like a tree

Apparently it is a lilac bush. Thanks. I found it while scooping around on the blog. Apparently the blogger has a beautiful garden. Very impressive. Here is the link if you are interested.

OK everyone says it's a lilac, I believe you. But it is puzzling to me. The redbud tree in my yard has heart shaped leaves like the ones shown. The lilac tree in my yard has oval leaves like these.
