Sorry for new thread, but somehow I was not be able to add new post in ''what is this tee'' thread again... :/ (I'm still newbie here )
Well, I have friend in LA, also like plants, trees... and he send me a picture of one unusual tree, and I can't recognize it... ...because nothing like that grow here... so, any help is appreciated... thank you !

So you are asking about the bare deciduous one in the background? If so maybe you will get lucky and someone will be able to identify it that way, since it does have unusual fruits (nuts? seed pods? do you know they are fruit?) But it is generally pretty difficult to ID plants without seeing the leaves.

Ok I have a theory... after lot of research... I figure it out...

...little spikes at the branching... down there... its hard to see on picture... but they are there...
