Replanting after remove large ficus tree
Help,
I am planning to remove two 20 foot ficus trees 20yrs. old. The stumps will then be taken out with a stump grinder. Is it OK for me to replant another tree in the same hole as long as I get all the shavings and grindings out?
I have been told that I might be better off to wait 1 year to make sure any remaining root system is completely dead otherwise it may compromise the new tree root growth! I really want to replant some 15 gallon trees now if possible. Any knowledgeable appreciated!
