What is this & how do I save it?

Does anyone know what these bushes are? They are about 9 feet tall and are along my fence for privacy. The leaves started getting red spots on them about 2 weeks ago and have started falling off. Some of the bushes are quite bare. I'd like to save them, if this is a sign that they may be dying. Any help would be appreciated. I am new to Austin, TX and not familiar with any of the plants here yet. Thanks! Erica

Hi erica :)

They look like Photinia and they are prone to this leaf spot problem. Check out this website for what to do and the reasons for it happening.
