Love this tree....what is it???

At my grandparent's house, there is this beautiful tree (or bush?) that I would love to plant at my house! Does anyone know, or have an idea, of what this is? Any thoughts would be appreciated! We live in central Minnesota. The flowers are in almost complete balls hanging off the branches.
