help with winter moths

Last fall, my husband banded our three big maple trees to protect them from winter moths as they had been eaten severely the prior year.
Now that the leaves are there we realize, sadly, that the same is happening. Does anybody have experience with winter moths and mayb an idea how to get rid of them. We fear that our trees will die if this continues.
