Why don't my azaleas bloom at the same time?
I have three actually 5 very mature azalea bushes. One is about 6' - how come it's also the last to bloom? Three azaleas are side by side in a row and they don't ever bloom at the same time?

Are they all the same type? There are early, mid and late bloomers.
I will assume that they are the same type-
Are they all receiving exactly the same water/nutrients/light? I would suspect that they are not, as they sound as if they are completely different sizes.
There is also the possibility that they are just different plants. Plants can be a lot like people in that they are individually different. I have been in ten acres of 'Wolf Eyes' Dogwoods that were all planted with-in a day of each other. We tagged plants that were 1" calliper all the way up to 2.5" calliper.
