Whitish pink "ghost" leaves on my maple seedling

I have grown a maple from seed and will hopefully plant it outside in a few months, it is about 3 months old, and I imagine needs a larger container quite soon, although it looks healthy and has many beautiful healthy green leaves the newest leaves are a translucent pinkish white color. They are very beautiful but I cannot imagine that that is right. Does anybody know why that would be?
