Help!
We have a beautiful weeping Cherry that we planted four years ago, and a week or so ago, we had a bad heat wave. All the leaves turned a crispy brown over a few days.
When I scrape the branches now, there is green in there which makes me think its still alive.
I've been watering it and now I'm wondering if there's any chance for survival or if there is anything else I should do.
Any suggestions?

Hello Gardener Amy. Sorry to hear about your cherry tree. It didn't get enough
water during the heat wave. If the green cambium layer is still there, then it's
still alive. It should start producing new leaves soon. Keep giving it moderate to
regular water. A light amount of nitrogen fertilizer would help get the leaves
going again. Good luck.
