Butterfly Bush - afternoon sun only

I would like to plant a couple of butterfly bushes on the west side of my house. Everything I have read says they like full sun. Does anyone know how well they would do with sun from about 12:30 on? I live in zone 7A - Ozark Mountain region of Arkansas. Thanks Much

A neighbor a few houses down from me has them planted on the west side of her house, and they're doing well.
