Question about planting between pine trees...

I've got a space between two pine trees in my back yard that are 20-30 feet apart... They line the backside of the back yard to give a little privacy. But there is a space that I want to fill.

That space is right in the corner of my back yard and my wife wanted me to plant something different. She would prefer a weeping variety.

I know nothing about trees, and I don't know how close together I can plant these trees or whether I can plant one at all.

I'll take some measurements in a while to give more detail about the space I have (photobucket is giving me trouble), but does anyone have any preliminary thoughts?

Thanks!

Dogwoods are a nice understory tree and there are weeping varieties. Weeping cherry is beautiful and should also tolerate your conditions.
