mystery vine/tree

While cleaning my hedgerow, I found this small tree type plant which has leaves as big as my hand and look a lot like a morning glory leaf. Doesn't have climbing tendrils but appears to be reaching out with long 'limbs' like it wants to climb. I came from N.Y. and am unfamiliar with plants here in N.C. I'm hoping this is something I can transplant into my walking path area I've carved out of my hilly backyard. Any ideas what this might be?

A picture would be most helpful here. :)
