suggestions for varieties of tall and "thin" junip

I am doing a landscaping project for a friend and I would like to find some junipers that will get tall, but not spread out very much (not more than 2-3 ft).

I am not a professional landscaper, just doing this as a favor for some friends. We are in Mo (zone 5). I've looked at the Missouri Botanical Gardens website in the plantfinder section a couple of times-- there are tons of junipers listed there. They also list sizes of plants as well, but as many experienced gardeners know, sometimes plants don't live up to our size expectations (and sometimes they exceed them!).

I was just hoping that someone here might recommend a variety or two that would be suitable for what I am looking for. I'd like to find a juniper that will get pretty tall (8-10') but still maintain a modest spread (24-30") without pruning. and I definitely don't want to use arborvitae instead.

any suggestions appreciated! :)

I just purchased a Blue Point Juniper and it is only supposed to spread 4 feet, and get around 12 feet tall.

Also I think for your zone, blue arrows might be ok.

the above site looks like it might help combined with some google or yahoo searches...

good luck..
