Viburnum Tinus

I've recently planted a bunch of Viburnum Tinus in a garden of a customer of mine, and they seem to be affected by something. The older leaves keep drying out, but new shoots keep coming up, which means it is struggling... Anyone recognizes this problem??? (This is in the Portuguese Algarve, same climate as California, for example).

Hi Evergreen,

I'm wondering if the rootball was rootbound and the older stems aren't able to take up enough water. They are also susceptable to root knot nematodes.
