Starting Hydrangea bushes from cuttings
I was wondering if its possible to start the Snowball Viburnum or Hydrangea from cuttings and how to do it. Any advice??
Snowballs are sometimes known to be a little harder, but can be done, however you shouldnm't have any trouble with your hydrangeas.
For Snowballs: Often there are little saplings around the base of the tree that you can dig up and stick in a pot, and its easier that doing a cutting, and most of the time they will even bloom the next year. If you can't find any or get to them (sometimes a bit tricky when the parent is so close to the ground), then you can take a softwood () cutting in late spring/early summer (when the tree is starting to bud) and stick it in a pot with a good propogating mix and some hormone powder, and they should start to anchor in a few weeks.
You can also try layering. For more information https://www.ces.ncsu.edu/depts/hort/hil/hil-8701.html is a good site.

Good Luck!
