Leylandi Roots

Hi everyone, I am new here and would like to ask you a question

I need to dig deep near to an established leylandi hedge (12 feet+). My question is - if I cut off several roots will the trees survive?

I have read another post where it was suggested that the trees may get honey fungus!!!

Hi Judy,

There are no guarantees when cutting the roots of a tree. Make sure your tools are very clean by washing with Lysol or bleach in a solution of 9 parts water to one part Lysol or bleach.
