I have two (that I have seen) very large woody (weeping) bushes in the filtered light of my 40 acre woods. They have a light colored bark with med green leaves and RED berries with little WHITE Spots all over them. I actually opened one and tasted it. Its a bit tart yet still somewhat sweet (reminds me of a Pomegranate berry) the berries are quite small but plentiful.
trying to figure out how to post the pic...........
any help with identity would be greatly appreciated!!

I use photobucket.com to post my pictures.
Once you load your pictures onto photobucket, you select the image you want to post (check the box) Then at the bottom of the page, you select "Generate HTML and IMG code" button. Copy and paste either the clickable thumbnails or the full size image code into your post.
Good luck!

Jennifer,
I was looking for something else and came across Euonymus americanus - hearts a bustin aka strawberry bush.

Another possibility would be Shepheridia canadensis - Canada Buffaloberry

Either one of these it?

Jennifer, thanks for getting back to us. I was hoping it would be one of the native plants that I had guessed. Autumn Olive - Eleaganus umbellata unfortunately is an invasive species.
