New scarlet wonder japanese maple tree

Hello everyone,

I purchased a Scarlet wonder japanese maple about one month ago.
When the tree arrived it had leaves and looked to be in good condition.
I planted the tree right away, the next day after planting we had 85 degree temps with full sun and the day after high winds all day.
The leaves started to shrivel up and dye (all of them) it was recomended that I remove all the dryed dead leaves and new ones should shoot out.
well its been a couple of weeks and there are no signs of new leaves sprouting. I have some recient pictures that I will try and attach. Please if anyone has any sugestion let me know. I realy don't want to lose this tree as I planted it for my newborn daughter. any sugestions on attaching pics please let me know.

Thanks in advanced
Steve

If you planted and watered it properly it should come back, it just might need a bit of time to turn back it's clock because it's not like walking into a room and flipping a switch. First of June should tell.

But Japanese maples do not want to be in full sun. They like indirect light/ dappled or filtered sunlight.
