What kind of tree is this part deuce!

I got this from someone and not sure what it is. Would like to know so I can care for it properly. Also I'm thinking the pot is way too small any thoughts on that?

Thanks,

Dono

Norfolk Island Pine, and you are right: the pot is too small.

Thanks just did some reading on it. Weird plant/tree. It is hardy in some ways yet fragile in others. In it's native state it can grow 200 ft + with a 10 ft wide trunk. I sure hope it doesn't grow that big or do I?

There's one near me that is probably 60-70 ft tall, and probably planted as a post Christmas decoration thirty years ago more or less. Last season's growth on the lower limbs has been frosted back, but irregular droughts have given the tree an odd shape with too much width in the lowest 10-15 feet, then the severely narrow cone shape on up. I hope the damaged areas will reshape it some, but was surprised it made it at all in the unusual cold for our area.

I've always liked them.
