help! I have this tree that I think is a palm

but I need to know what kind and even if it is indeed a palm so I can see how to care for it.

I think you will find that your plant is not a palm, but rather, a Dracaena, very possibly, Dracaena marginata. :)

Kisal is right on, as usual! And you have a very nice specimen of dragon tree (the common name).

If you have other questions about care for your Dragon tree, you might try posting it under Container gardening. It is a tree, so could stay here, but it is a tree that is typically grown as a house plant in a container, so might find lots of people doing the same thing in the Container gardening section.
