Harry Lauders Walkingstick

kind of new at the landscaping thing (and the online forum thing too.)
I have recently seen the "walkingstick" and think it would be very interesting growing outside my front door, but there are two large sweetgum trees that shade the front of the house all afternoon.
Something I read about the walkingstick says it needs full sun. Has anyone tried one successfully with just morning sun? thanks in advance . . . :)

Hi and welcome to the forum! Hope you find us friendly and helpful. I took the liberty of moving your post to the Trees & Shrubs section, where a lot more people will see it who might be able to answer your question.

I haven't grown it, but this link https://www.daytonnursery.com/Encyclopedia/Trees_Shrubs/Corylus.htm
has some information about it and says Light Requirements: Sun, Part Shade, which sounds encouraging for your plan.
