What type of tree is this?

Can you help me identify this tree, it looks like some type of juniper -

Remember junipers when you run your hands against the needles you'll know they are junipers. When you run them against arborvitae they won't leave marks. Junipers, spruce and cedar will leave marks.

I would say it's an arborvitae. I am not a 'tree person', however. The leaves of junipers have always seemed 'needlelike' to me, whereas on arborvitae, they're flat and remind me of scales. As I say, though, I claim neither expertise nor extensive knowledge of trees. [img]https://bestsmileys.com/clueless/4.gif[/img]
