ok I have a ponytail palm tree and I was wondering if anyone knew how often yur supose to trim it, also water because mine is outside and we have a sprinkler system and it comes on every morning at 3:00 a:m, also can u have ponytail palms as bonsai's I'm not sure about mine cause its pretty big anyways heres some facts about my palm tree.......
1: its about 2-2 1/2 feet tall
2: its planted outside witch you all ready know cause the sprinkler thing
3: well ummmmmm c thats all I got, well I do have a pic of it

Like most trees (we had this conversation ) ponytail palms can be bonsai'd. (Is that a verb? I made it up)

This is from a vendor selling them who says:
Ponytail Palms are perfect indoor bonsai tree. They are extreeeemly easy to maintain. They live to a ripe old age with minimal care and have a true tropical feel. (course that's part of the sales pitch you understand )
Whether you want to do that to yours is a whole separate question and one I can't answer.
