I think my tree was poisoned

Hi I'm knew.
While I was away on vacation last week the person that was taking care of my yard put weed be gone on the grass. That was ok. A few days ago I noticed my weeping birch trees leaves turning yellow. Is this from the weed b gone? If it is what can I do to save my tree?

Yes too much can kill a woody plant. Depending on the size you can dig it up and transplant, but not until the fall and prune to roots and wash the soil, otherwise it is doomed.

Thank you for your info.
Do you think if I keep watering it deeply that might help flush the poison?

It may but doubt it since the damage seems to be done if it is already yellowing. Roots soak up the chemicals so it's in the system.

Could be the herbicide but there may be other causes too. I would be looking for broze birch boorer holes also. They will generally be on the trunk from ground level up.
