Tree ID, please

Hi, I have a big, and rather sickly tree in my garden path. I wanted to know what type of tree it is. I wondered if it was some sort of nut bearing tree, walnut or butternut. Here are the photos https://www.flickr.com/photos/90133212@N00/sets/72157620458577608/

Thanks!

I am not certain but it could be a hickory but you will have problems cutting that huge thing down. Better start saving now because it will set you back some.

with smooth bark like that, it COULD be a hickory of some sort, but it reads more like an ailanthus to me. is there evidence of nuts of any kind around?
