What will happen if I job downa 4 m high Cordyline

I told someone that it probably would not regenerate, and is much more likely to kill it.

This is correct I presume?

Ha, I was tired.

Chop down- Its about 4m, and I said it would be unwise to chop it down as it would probabaly (not defintly). Correct?

I think it may depend on how far down you wish to cut it. I don't know for sure, but rather by comparing it to related species I would say it has a fair chance of coming back.
