Deer Resistant Foundation Evergreens

Does anyone know of a columnar evergreen foundation shrub that can be pruned to keep from growing too big? I would like to try a Hicks yew but we have deer, and I understand it makes good deer food. :?:

The only one that I can think of is dwarf alberta spruce, I don't think deer will munch on that.
