My Japanese Maple - trimmed and a new pot...

After watching this video on How to Prune a Japanese Maple and some reading up and seeing how bonsai shaping can make a plant really pop, I decided to trim up our five year old(to me) Japanese Maple tree and put it into a new pot. I wanted to expose the trunk more and shape the foliage.

Pretty happy with the results. :) There are still a few branches I am pondering snipping but didn't want to go too far with trimming so I'm gonna see if I feel the same here in a few weeks(namely the far right, lower branch). Can always leave them - can't put them back. Want it to look organic too vs too sterile - if that makes sense.

Probably one of my favorite plants/trees to look at in our yard.
