I think the largest number of Fraxinus species are native to North America or Asia but there are also examples native to Europe. Is there a specific ash species you are interested in?

I believe there is a tree either (perhapse an Ash) that originates from middle east. Not sure though.

Thank you for your answers, to be honest i am not sure which type i am looking at as not familiar with them. New to all this gardening and identifying. I wanted to know really as my ash trees where i work have only just in the last two weeks started to leaf and wanted to know a little more about them and why this would be. As the saying goes we may be in for a good summer reg ash. :)
Kind Regards,

Lizzie
